The celebration of anniversaries with concerts of famous musicians is becoming a tradition in Bulagria.

After the concert of Glenn Hughes for the anniversary of the local Standart newspaper, German synth-pop and rock music group Alphaville will stage a concert in Sofia to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the transport company Union Ivkoni.

Turkish drum formation Harem and local band Bratya Mangasaryan would also take part in the concert, avtora.com reported.

The concert will be held on October 6 2007 in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture. Fans can receive an invitation for the concert by presenting the ticket of an international trip worth 130 leva or a regional trip ticket worth 30 leva in any office of the company.

Alphaville became famous in 1984 with its first hit Big in Japan, followed by Red Rose, Jerusalem, Romeos and Forever Young. The band was at first called Forever Young, but changed its name to Alphaville.

Harem’s music is a mix of oriental rhythms and dance motives. The band was included in the Guinness Book of Records for gathering 2500 percussionists during a performance, avtora.com said.
