All of these are useful options at the Sofia Motor Show 2007

Every motor Expo comes with beautiful fashion models and accessories, just the same way as every vehicle comes with an audio system...

The Sofia Motor Show hosts a wide choice of companies working in the fields of financial services, leasing companies, insurance companies, tuning studios, security systems, GPS navigation, tyres, oils and many others. The Inter Expo Centre brings together under one roof the latest technical and information equipment, and the services of the largest manufacturers specialising in motor accessories, compulsory insurances and practical devices.

The practical angle is that by visiting the Expo, you will be able to save time and take advantage of the guaranteed discounts.

Every year we spend more time in our vehicles, so this time should be spent as pleasantly as possible. A conventional car radio or even a CD player that supports the MP3 audio format are products of the past. In fashion now are multi-functional devices.

At Panasonic’s exhibition stand, for example, you will see the company’s digital system, where an integrated player with a monitor allows you to watch films in DVD format, and you can enjoy listening to the radio or to other audio recordings in various formats.

You can buy an extended module for vehicle audio systems as an accessory, which allows you to plug in various devices. This allows you to watch digital recordings from the family video camera while on the road, listen to MP3 audio files from an MP3 player or even watch films using the CD changer.

True sound fans will be able to equip their vehicles with the “Full Digital” solution, which, using an entirely digital chain, transfers the signal from CDs and other digital devices to the speakers. The fully digital processing of the signal reveals the full potential of the device.

Sony, another globally prominent producer of vehicle entertainment systems, is also showing off its products. The hit here is the MEX-BT2500 system, which when using the Bluetooth option of the driver’s mobile phone, allows calls to be made while driving, or the playing of music stored in the phone’s memory. The audio system supports formats such as MP3 and WMA and a portable MP3 can be plugged in. In addition to MEX-BT2500, Sony will show the multifunctional MEX-1 system. It offers radio, CD and DVD options, thanks to the Giga MP3 service that can save up to 1000 songs on DVD.

XAV-A1, on the other hand, is an audio-visual panel integrated into the vehicle’s control panel. It has a seven-inch TFT monitor, a digital radio tuner and can read DVD-R/+R, CD-R/-RW and CDDA.

Sony shows some of their portable audio-video players that can be used inside the vehicle, with a special stand, or at home, out in the open, or in an aircraft. The company offers different monitors that can be integrated in the vehicle’s control panel, seat backs, above the rear view mirror or in any other suitable place.

Naturally, Sony and Panasonic present a wide range of vehicle audio systems of different classes and prices.

GPS control and navigation
Those concerned about the safety of their investments in their vehicles and equipment should head for the GPS Control exhibition stand. The company offers systems for fast and easy location, which in the event of theft, will enable police to find the vehicle more easily. Insurance companies welcome the installation of GPS devices, and offer encouraging discounts.

Other GPS devices that in addition offer a navigation service are on offer from the Geotrade company.

Nuvi and StreetPilot are electronic guides from the Garmin brand. They are among the few on the market using software legal in Bulgaria, with a detailed map of Bulgaria and Europe, menu and voice control in most languages, including Bulgarian.

Garmin GPS navigators have 12 channels, and are portable, with a colour touch screen display, offer many extra services such as Bluetooth, MP3, MP4, USB and the option to download pictures. Garmin topographical maps are detailed and make it easy to find a street, and will suggest a route with less traffic, show all the streets of a town no matter its size, hospitals, museums, restaurants, casinos and even off-road and eco routes.

If you have company vehicles and want to keep accurate and timely control of them, visit the ‘GPS Service’ stand. The company offers GPS devices that record and show in real time the details of every vehicle. The data is transferred directly to your company’s office. This is done via sms, data channel or GPRS. The data shows the route being taken by the driver on an electronic map with speed levels, stops and the duration of breaks.

If you do not need such devices, you are welcome to visit the exhibition stands of the other companies showing ranges of motor oils, tyres, and security systems.
