Straight from Geneva, the new generation of Ford Mondeo will make its appearance at the 2007 Sofia Motor Show. The model has moved to a higher evolutionary level and stands out with the company’s new “kinetic design” and the typical shape of the Iosis concept model. The new Mondeo is offered in three versions: a classic four-door, a five-door and the capacious Estate with four levels of equipment. What is exceptional for the Mondeo is the standard equipment which features Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Ford Easyfuel capless refuelling with fuel inhibitor to prevent misfuelling, air conditioning, “follow-me-home” lights, trip computer and an MP3 connector socket.
The new Mondeo is available with a wide choice of petrol and diesel engines, including a five-cylinder 220 hp petrol Duratec engine based on the engine of the sport Focus ST. Four diesel Duratorq TDCi engines with power between 110 hp to 140 hp are also on the market, as well as four Duratorq petrol engines, each with a choice of five-speed or six-speed manual transmissions.
