A monument with the images of Levski and Rakovski, by Georgi Chapkunov, would be unveiled in Belgrade on December 18, Bulgarian news agency BTA said Sofia Municipality press office had announced.
The monument was made on the initiative of Georgi Stoikov Rakovski National Association and the All-Bulgarian Committee Vassil Levski, supported by Sofia municipality and the Belgrade municipality. Financing came from Allianz Bulgaria, BTA said.
The unveiling ceremony would take place in the Tašmajdan Park and would be attended by Sofia's deputy mayors Yordanka Fandukova and Velizar Stoilov.
Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin and Deputy Culture Minister Ivan Tokadjiev were expected to attend the opening, BTA said.
