Bulgarian Government has set aside 220 000 leva for the organisation the 95th commemoration of the Balkan war of 1912-1913.
The Cabinet took this decision on October 18, Focus news agency said.
The funds will come from the central budget and would be transferred to the Defence Ministry and municipalities Smolyan, Haskovo, Bourgas, Blagoevgrad and Kurdjali.
The funds will secure the organisation of scientific conferences, festivals, exhibitions, the revealing ceremony of commemoration plaques, the publication of a special newspaper, a concert, documentary films, among others.
On August 17 2007, a national initiative was formed in Smolyan for the commemorations. Activities are planned to take place between October 2007 and March 2008.
