2 KILLED AND 150 WOUNDED IN LONDON EXPLOSIONS
02:00 Thu 07 Jul 2005

Six explosions in London's centre earlier today have left two people dead and at least 150 seriously wounded, Focus news agency reported. The first blast came from the Liverpool Street underground station. A bus exploded close to the location shortly afterwards. The London police department confirmed explosions on at least three buses in central London. Many wounded people have still not been transported to hospitals.  Passengers remained on the blocked underground line for nearly 30 minutes after the explosion, Bulgarian National Radio reported.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials said that no information has come from the Bulgarian embassy in England regarding any Bulgarians harmed in the blasts.
British prime minister Tony Blair said that terrorists are clearly involved in the act. London police found traces of explosives at the location of one of the blasts. The explosions occurred a day after London was chosen to host the summer Olympic games in 2012 and on the first day of the G-8 summit taking place in Scotland.
