18.6 MILLION LEVA INVESTED IN SPORTS FACILITIES IN BULGARIA’S VARNA

Varna municipality will invest 18.62 million leva in the construction and renovation of sports facilities.

The amount is unprecedented. Previous investment in sports facilities reached 28 000 leva, BGNES Sport agency reported.

Almost 500 000 leva will be used for the re-construction of open-air sports areas in the five regions of the city.

Renovation of other facilities will benefit from 1.12 million leva. Among these are an athletics track and Lokomotiv sports centre.

The biggest sum will be provided for the renovation of two sports centres and a swimming pool. All procedures for the renovation works have been completed and companies to execute the projects have been selected.
