Explore the poetry of the Beat generation at the Elephant Bookstore in Sofia's Chai vuv Fabrikata Tea House (11 Georgi Benkovski) on Thursday March 15 at 7pm.

The Beat Generation was a group of American post-World War 2 writers who came to prominence in the 1950s, inspiring in turn a revolutionary cultural phenomena in its wake.

You will be able to see recordings of Beat poets such as Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and Lawrence Ferlinghetti.

There will also be opportunities for you to read your own poetry and taste the Tea House's Beat Generation tea.

The Elephant Bookstore has proved a popular shop with English expats since it opened.
