Mild morning throughout Bulgaria as thaw continues

A misty and mild morning (by February standards) was recorded throughout Bulgaria on February 22 with temperatures at or near freezing point in most places, the notable exceptions being Rousse, Veliko Turnovo and Vidin.

At 10am on February 22 Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna were all at 0 Celsius, rising to a forecast five Celsius by the afternoon and possibly even seven Celsius in Varna.

Rousse, on the other hand, was minus four Celsius, Veliko Turnovo minus five Celsius and Vidin minus four Celsius. 

Elsewhere, at 10am on February 22, London was seven Celsius, Moscow minus four Celsius, Istanbul seven Celsius, Salonika eight Celsius, Athens 11 Celsius and Antalya 12 Celsius.
