At a ceremony on February 9, the ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta, Camillo Zuccoli, bestowed on the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Bulgaria’s ambassador-designate to Germany Radi Naidenov, the Cross of Grand Officer pro Merito Melitensi.

Also present were Simeon Saxe-Coburg, the dean of the diplomatic corps Lebanese ambassador Abi Samra, Apostolic Nuncio Monsignor Bolonek, Italian ambassador Stefano Benazzo, director of state protocol ambassador Ivan Dimitrov, the rector of Alexander Nevsky cathedral Bishop Tihon and other dignitaries.

At the event, a special gift from Pope Benedict XVI was handed over by Monsignor Bolonek to Simeon Saxe-Coburg for his Golden Wedding anniversary.
