Campaigns to raise funds for people hard-hit by the floods in Bulgaria have been started by the Bulgarian Red Cross, in partnership with the country’s three mobile operators, as well as by public broadcaster Bulgarian National Television.

The floods that hit the Haskovo region on February 6 2012 swept into the village of Bisser after a dam wall broke. Eight people are reported dead.
