Conan the Barbarian, the epic movie filmed in Bulgaria last year, premieres this week to the viewing public in most countries worldwide. The official premiere was in Los Angeles on August 11, attended by many of the film's stars.

The Gala premiere in Bulgaria is on August 24.

Conan, directed by Marcus Nispel and starring Jason Momoa, was filmed exclusively in Bulgaria at Nu Boyana studios and also in Pernik, Vitosha and Dobrich. The film also stars Stephen Lang, best known as Colonel Miles Quaritch in James Cameron's blockbuster Avatar and Ron Perlman, best known for playing Vincent in the TV series Beauty and the Beast.  Lang also plays a villian - Khalar Zym - in Conan.
