British police are investigating corruption charges against four Russian employees of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The bank lifted immunity for the four Tuesday to allow British and Russian authorities to carry out their investigation.

One of the suspect employees is Yelena Kotova, who Russia fired as its director on the bank's board.

Bank officials have not specified the charges against the four employees, only saying they allegedly violated the bank's code of conduct.
