Three people were arrested when investigators and prosecutors bust an operation that allegedly had trafficked women from Bulgaria to Italy, Switzerland and Germany, the Interior Ministry said on November 6 2010.

The arrests in the town of Stara Zagora were the result of lengthy investigations, the ministry said.

The group of three taken into custody were aged 33, 29 and 26 and had been working together since 2006.

They allegedly recruited and transported poor and unemployed women from across the country, recruiting them with promises of good income and an easy life.

The group took most of the earnings of the women they trafficked, which included several adults and an underage girl.

The operation had been the sole source of income for the group, giving them earnings to show off a lavish lifestyle that had enabled them to lure their victims, the ministry said.

Tremendous! Now for the judicial system to convict if they are truly guilty.
