Iron Maiden: The Final Frontier conquers the world

British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden have conquered Bulgaria as they have been doing around the world with their latest epic release, The Final Frontier.

According to the band's official website, the album has hit number one in the United Kingdom in the first week of release as well as 20 other countries to date, Bulgaria included.

The Final Frontier has vanquished Saudi Arabia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Finland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland with "several others to follow".

The Billboard Magazine assessment of the new release was simply "Iron Maiden Slays Rivals"

Record company EMI Records has also issued a statement on the band's website, saying "EMI is proud of their 30 years' involvement with Iron Maiden and the astonishing first week Global Chart success of the band's fifteenth studio album, The Final Frontier, which was released on EMI Records worldwide on August 16."

In addition to the phenomenal number of No.1 debuts in all parts of the world, Maiden are currently No.2 in Australia, Belgium and Holland, No.3 in Ireland, Poland and Turkey, No.4 in USA and No.5 in Singapore. The debut at No.4 on the Billboard chart in the USA is the band's highest-ever chart position.

The Final Frontier is a nearly 80-minute long epic, one of the best and most progressive works they have done.

you should make the effort to see Maiden live again mike. I have been a Maiden fan for about 21 years myself. seen them live 16 times, on ever tour since 7th Son, bar Death on the Road.

they are getting better, and better, and better. UP THE IRONS!

yes acdc charted number one in something like 27 countries, but they are played on the radio all the time ,all they sing about is mundane stuff.... maiden and sabbath sing about horror, history, science fiction and war their music is publicly supressed, but their millions of fans know how great they are when i saw maiden in 87 they blew me away ...wow...

i saw iron maiden in 1987, they have been my favorite band for 25 years now their best album is powerslave really nice to see their new album chart so well the highest in the usa ever but why are they more popular everywhere else probably because like black sabbath they arent played on the radio and they still reach 4th position..maidens and sabbaths lyrics are tough and hit home where it hurts and people dont like the truth thrust into their face just read the lyrics for children of the grave or two minutes to midnight
