Adem are Emi and Andreas Zafirakis, the authors of the Unknown Bulgaria columns in Capital Light, which were later collated in Unknown Bulgaria, the book. The focus of their columns has always been little-known places, spots that have kept their history, spirit and traditions. The stories are full of vivid characters, even if the photography shows nearly uninhabited landscapes and ruins. The book shows Bulgaria off the beaten path, the surreal landscapes untouched by civilisation, the wilderness and the rare, but memorable encounters.

The Unknown Bulgaria series will run monthly in The Sofia Echo. If you want to advertise in this section, please contact us at +359 2 8012 609 or adsales@sofiaecho.com
