As far as the cultural differences - most Americans I know eventually end up divorcing each other, so I don't see the American model as a successful one by any means. From observations, the reasons are seldom infidelity. I think Americans suffer from that bigger enemy of relationships called "boredom" which is an inevitable product of confusing marriage, which is essentially a union, with acquisition. Ownership of another individual is unreasonable, nor is it desirable actually, and it often results in disillusionment. With other words, the moment they feel they truly own someone, is the moment they realize that they don't really want them... but alas, unreasonable expectations of humans to act against their nature, is a trade mark of Puritanism. No secret there.

Read the full comment and how they behave. No judgement here; just observing. I spend alot of time in Bulgaria and try to observe their behavior in this field. I do see a difference. Your insights are very interesting for me to compare to American women. I do have to agree that it is not easy for men to know what women need, but if they took the time, their lives would be ALOT easier. The opposite is true of course. Both sides would stop being so disappointed in each other and start enjoying the beauty in what they can share. by the way, one difference I have observed is that American women expect their men to be faithful and when they are not, it's a major life changing event. I have noticed that in Bulgaria there is not the same expectation. It holds the same for men as for women. What do you think?

It's hard to generalize Barbara.
It's hard for me to tell who is more physical and promiscuous - men or women. Most women I know think about one thing only.
That said, sure there are differences - most women could be happy with their husband and one lover only, whereas men would cheat on their wife and girlfriend, easily.

They also love to ruin each other's day by downloading everything bad that occurs without even attempting to find solutions - just sharing what's wrong with a situation seems to be enough. Dumber men accept their part of that game. Most others know better and direct their women to the next emotional garbage bin in the face of one of her girlfriends - preferably one that he himself is having sex with, so that she has a vested interest of preserving his standing.

Instead of sending her an expensive bunch of flowers to her office, bring her two long stem red roses, with a note telling her something you feel about her and bring it to her personally in the middle of the day. (this will guarantee you great sex at night. It's that affective; try it!) 3. Tell her every day that you love her or more important, words that clearly explain how you appreciate what she does for you/the family/kids/your mother/etc. 4. Tell her how good she looks when you go out and every single time she looks good. 5. DO NOT CRITICIZE her about anything. Basically women want to feel like you cherish them. They know it from words not gifts. it doesn't cost money to make her feel loved. It only requires understanding woman.
