Ryanair will operate flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays from Stansted to Plovdiv from November 2 2010, the airline also plans to announce new routes from Plovdiv to airports in Spain and Italy. I would really love to see Ryanair fly to Bourgas or Varna. I also really wish that Ryanair flew regually to Kos, Rhodes, Volos, Corfu, Heraklion and Zakynthos from places such as East Midlands, Liverpool, Stansted, Dublin, Charleroi, Marseille, Weeze, Alicante, Porto and Ciampino. This would create competition with EasyJet and the charter airlines and cheap flightsalso allow to these places as EasyJet and the charters rip you [...]

There's no such thing planned to start. If there were, how come isn't it announced on ryanair's website yet? I don't believe a word of it.
I ask here if any new details about the flights to/from Plovdiv exist. When these flights are said to start in September 2010 at the earliest - it is high time to announce them in the online avation news and the company´s website - either the sidelink "news" and or "new routes".
If someone wants to fly to Bulgaria cheaply in the forthcoming months - how can the potential customers plan their trips without any information ?

Yhh its about time no more 2 hours drives from sofia well done ryan air xxx
Uh doh, philip of London, read the text, Sept 2010
It would be fantastic also if Ryanair flew to Varna/Bourgas. Bulgaria would benfit greatly if it became cheaper to fly to these coastal airports like Varna/Bourgas. I know lots of people who would come to Bulgaria if they could get cheaper flights than the ones available at the moment.
As a frequent visitor to this beautiful country I just wish that Gorna airport was open so that visitors could land at a central airport, and then they can visit central areas without having to drive for over 3 hours after landing. Come on Easyjet lets have flights to Gorna.
It would be great to give Easyjet a bit of competition, and hopefully bring prices down. A choice of flghts in BG outside of Sofia would be great, but what about Gorna airport in the centre of Bulgaria - this would cover a vast area in central BG and open everything up - but any additional air routes from the UK - hopefully outside of London - would be great, especially from the North and Ireland
IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL TO HAVE THE
LUXURY OF REASONABLY CHEAP FLIGHTS
TO BOURGAS INSTEAD OF BEING RIPPED
OFF BY GREEDY CHARTER FLIGHTS
Well done but Varna would be best.
Its about time they make use of PLovdiv airport as they are many expat living around the area.Well done Ryan Air.
I hope Ryanair start flying to Varna. It's a nightmare trying to get cheap flights to the Black Sea Coast. Three years ago it was cheaper to fly there. It surely has got to be beneficial for the Bulgarian government to lower landing fees. The money generated by the increase in tourists would be vast. I know that lots of my friends and family would come to visit us if the flights were cheaper. Come on Ryanair - come to Varna (and Bourgas of course).
Flying to Plovdiv from where? There are no direct flights to Ireland from Bulgaria, it would be nice if this was an Irish-Bulgarian route and not another route to UK.
Did any of The Echo's crack team of journos think to ask when the service would actually commence?
Sorry guys and gals, but this is really just basic stuff...
