Bulgarian song fails the cut for Eurovision final

Bulgarian song "Angel Si Ti" (Ангел си ти) performed by Miro failed to progress to the final of the Eurovision song contest scheduled for May 29 2010.

The semi-final in Oslo was held on May 27 2010 and was shown live by Bulgarian National Television (BNT).

At the semi final Miro appeared 13th out of 17 performers. He sung part of his song in Bulgarian and part in English but despite his good performance he failed to progress on to the final.

Bulgaria’s biggest success at the contests continues to be the 2007 entry by the duo Elitsa and Stoyan who came fifth with their song "Voda".

The Eurovision Song Contest 2010 is the 55th annual Eurovision Song Contest event, and it will take place at the Telenor Arena, in Baerum, Norway, a suburb of Oslo. Norway won the right to host the tournament after Alexander Rybak's win at the 2009 contest with his song Fairytale.

It will be the third time Norway has hosted the contest, having previously done so in 1986 and 1996.
