Police launched a specialised operation in Varna aimed at disrupting trafficking rings sending women to France for prostitution. The action was conducted by the Bulgarian Border police with the co-operation of French police, the Bulgarian National Television said on April 26 2010.

According to reports, the action is taking place in the Varna boroughs of Aksakovo, Dolni Chiflik, and Asparouhovo.

Seven people were arrested in Varna, believed to be behind the human trafficking. Of those, two remain in custody. Last week, the French authorities snatched a total of 20 Bulgarian prostitutes working in Nice.

The operation between the Bulgarian and French authorities was launched at the end of 2009.

"The trafficking of women from Bulgaria to France is alarming, especially in the past few years," Bulgarian Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov said, quoted by the Focus news agency.

"I hope that with the co-operation between the Bulgarian and French services, those channels will be stopped," he added.

Arrests are ok, accusations are ok too.
But yet we still verdicts to get criminals to jail. An accusation and an arrest is not enough.

It is necessary to have a look at the Belgium TV program Panorama about prostitution in Bruxelles. Quite a part is in Dutch (unfortunately) partly in French but INTERVIEUWS IN BULGARIAN. So have a try at it. It is just 45 minutes Partly filmed in Belgium and partly in Bulgaria. One of the most watched reportages in Belgium and Holland.

There is still a lot to do for justice.

Forced prostitution by economic situation is not good. Believe me they pute more than they f..... The choice of prostitution is NEVER made out of free will. They are not sexcrazy idiots. The have family to support.

Say that to the women & girls historically & today who have been damaged by this evil that has existed in many cultures through many times.

A choice of prostitution is fine, forced prostitution is rape.
