Human resource consultancy Human Value International presented its second edition of the Human Values series, profiling 30 Bulgarian women managers across a number of sectors, on March 9 2010.

The Women Business Leaders in Bulgaria publication contains interviews conducted in 2009 and 2010, focusing on the women managing some of the biggest companies in Bulgaria, sharing their challenges in personal and professional life.

"Success or failure is team work. Next to a senior management team, what is actually the virtue of an experienced executive leader? This is the networking skill - both towards colleagues and the buyer. Women master this art by all means," Human Value International executive director Bálint Vojnits said in his foreword to the publication.

"Life has proved in many cases that women can achieve anything in life. There are no barriers. Women have special powers," he wrote.

According to Dimitar Ivanov, Human Value International country manager for Bulgaria: "The thing that I regret the most is not being able to talk to more women business leaders in Bulgaria. Their contribution is very useful to business – not only as a financial policy and best practice, but also as the culture of communication and rich communication."

The first edition of the series, in 2009, profiled the top 50 managers in Bulgaria.

Raptor: Quite agree. I is pleasing to see so many women in sennior company posts. My experience isx that they are much more professional and approachable, and make clear decisions.

Having dealt with a few women at executive level (non governmental). They were very astute, ambitious and professional. The men however at the same level were simply self-serving!
