Bulgarian international Dimitar Berbatov has hailed his Manchester United team mate Wayne Rooney as the best in the world.
"I think at the moment he is the best in the world. He is still so young, so he has chances to become even greater. Like I've told him many times, just stay healthy and he can achieve everything," Berbatov told the club's website.
Berbatov had an influential game for the Red Devils, having assisted Rooney in scoring his second in the 81st minute, and then bagging one of his own to wrap it up 3-0 at the end of the match as United decimated Fulham on March 14 at Old Trafford.
The Bulgarian scored his 10th goal of the season in his 23rd start in all competitions, while Rooney scored his 32 goals from 36 starts. But the Bulgarian expects the England international to extend his unstoppable form.
But Berbatov has played down the importance of scoring for United, saying he gets as much pleasure from providing goals as scoring them, and insists he will happily go without goals if he ends the season with more medals.
"I'm pleased, it's part of my job, to assist and to score, but as long as we we win it doesn't matter if I score, as long as we are champions in the end. I preferred the second goal I gave to Wayne today than scoring (the third goal)," he told the Manchester United website.
"I think Wayne can go over 40 goals," he said. "We have plenty of games before the season is over, so I wish him luck and we're all going to help him go over the 40 line."
The Super Cup – a special game between Poland champion Wisla Krakow and Polish Cup winner Legia Warsaw was to be the first football event scheduled to take place at the venue.
In 2012, the Giants are again the underdogs, after finishing the regular season with a 9-7 record and barely qualifying for the playoffs, compared with the Patriots' 13-3 record.
