The new Formula One season in 2010 will be shown only on TV7. Last year the races were aired on free-to-air channel bTV, but only under a re-broadcasting agreement with TV7, which did not have a nationwide broadcasting licence yet.

Before every Grand Prix, TV7 will offer Bulgarian fans a 20-minute special featuring the most important aspects and events ahead of the race itself. The coverage will be in widescreen format, Dnevnik daily said on March 10 2010.

The opening race of the season, the Bahrain Grand Prix, will be aired live on March 14 at 2pm Bulgarian time. Qualifying will be shown live on March 13 from 1pm.

Long-time Bulgarian Formula One commentator Georgi Ivanov will move from bTV to provide coverage, but will partner with engineer, Ivan Tenchev replacing Momchil Manchev.

Tenchev himself is among the top Formula One commentators in Bulgaria, having worked in Channel 1, Ring TV and bTV. Currently he is editor-in-chief of ClubS1 magazine.
