Sonisphere Festival confirms line-up, location of Bulgarian event

Metallica

Some of the biggest name in metal - Metallica, Rammstein, Slayer, Manowar, Alice In Chains, Megadeth, Mastodon, Anthrax, Heaven&Hell and Stone Sour - have been confirmed to play in the Sofia Rocks Festival, part of the Sonisphere Festivals series, in Sofia on June 22-23.

On the first day of the event, June 22, Metallica will headline the bill, with Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax and Heaven&Hell all featured as support. This will be the third time Metallica perform in Bulgaria, selling out the full capacity of Vassil Levski stadium on their own in the summer of 2009.

Rammstein will headline day two, with Alice in Chains, Mastodon and Stone Sour all in support for June 23.

On both days, concerts will begin at 5pm. Single day events are priced at 59 to 99 leva in the stands, 79 leva for the stadium's pitch and 119 leva in front of the stage.

Due to the high interest in the festival, the organisers will also set up a camping area, presumably in the nearby Borisovata Gradina park, although the location is yet to be confirmed.
