Police in Istanbul reportedly arrested Turkish pop idol Tarkan along with nine others after what was described as a "significant quantity" of cocaine was found in his home.

According to Anatolia news agency, the arrests were made early on February 26.

Reports say that among those arrested were the son of a well-known Turkish businessman, as well as the son of a former MP for the True Path Party.

Police are questioning Tarkan and the nine others.

Turkey is considered a transit point for drugs from the Middle East and Asia to Europe.

How sad. He is such a wonderful talent. I am American and love his music. I really hope he is smarter than this. I hate to see him ruin his career and his life over something so stupid!

WELL, the law is the law, in my view it does not matter how popular or well known the person is; you brake it, you safer the consequences too!!!!
