Bulgaria will choose the song that will be the country’s entry in the 2010 Eurovision song contest during a live broadcast on Bulgarian National Television (BNT) on February 28.

Bulgaria will compete at the second semi-final of Eurovision 2010, to be held on May 27.

The country will be represented by popular singer Miro, and in recent weeks the five songs competing to be Bulgaria’s entry have been broadcast on BNT and Bulgarian National Radio.

A BNT media statement said that voting would start shortly before the performance of the first song on Sunday. The broadcast starts at 8.30pm. Voting will close 15 minutes after the last song.

Votes may be sent via SMS or a dedicated landline. Calls from hidden numbers will not be accepted.

"BNT is doing everything possible for absolute transparency of votes," according to the media statement, which said that the arrangements had been made so that everyone would have enough time to vote.

Special guests on the show, which will be broadcast from Sofia's National Palace of Culture, would include Akaga and Deep Zone Project.

Auditions to appear with Miro at Eurovision, either as backing vocalists or dancers, were held on February 16 and 17. More than 200 people auditioned.

Meanwhile, in a separate statement, Miro’s public relations agency said that he had launched a new website, miro.bg, which would have an English version from March 2010.
