Bulgarian sumo wrestler Kotooshu, born Kaloyan Mahlyanov, and his bride Asako Ando tied the knot on February 14 2010.

Nuptial rites started at the Meiji Temple in Tokyo, followed by a ceremony in a Christian church, Bulgarian media reported.

About 600 guests celebrated at a reception at the Tokyo Hotel. Hakuhō Shō, the only active yokozuna, was reportedly among the guests.

Head of the Bulgarian Sumo-wrestling Federation and the couple's best man Petar Stoyanov read a special greeting to the couple from Bulgarian President Georgi Purvanov, Bulgarian media said.
