Bulgarian artist Darina Dancheva opened a solo exhibition named "The Truth is in the Eyes," on January 23 2010 at the Galeri Artist, an art gallery in Istanbul’s Çukurcuma borough, the Turkish Hurriyet daily news reported on January 25 2010.

The exhibition is scheduled to continue until February 10 2010.

"The truth is sought in the eyes; love is found in the eyes," Dancheva was quoted as saying by Hurriyet.

"It (the exhibition) characterises the eyes as one of people’s most important organs and, in every culture, a dimension by which human beauty is measured."

Dancheva is native of Plovdiv, born in 1966. She was subsequently educated at the Veliko Turnovo Fine Arts Academy from 1988 to 1993.

The artist has launched solo exhibitions previously in foreign countries. Her works are both on canvas and frescos.

"My paintings speak to art lovers through the eyes and they share with them the truths that I have seen," Dancheva told Hurryiet.

It would've been better to use a sample artwork instead of the photo from Istanbul.
