"Hey, it's not your reputation on the line so let it go, or can't you simply pass an opportunity to riducule and smear Serbs for any reason?"
Isnt it a reason enough that the coward Tadic made demands and got slapped in the face with nothing?
Serb's smear themself, we are just observing :)
But as they say, a coward leader has coward sheep behind him, in this case one from far away who is brainwashed
I really don't see what the big deal is. There are going to be plenty of opportunities for Tadic and Ivo to meet and discuss important issues.
It really seems like some people are very upset about Tadic not being there, otherwise why condemn him so much for it.

Good that Tadic not attend inauguration.
Serbs at ceremonies get drunk, fire weapons, rude to hosts.
Much better not have any Serb present at event.
Voice of experience....
Tadic is absolutely right not to attend this inauguration. In addition to rejecting Croatian meddling in Serbian sovereignty which includes Kosovo. Serbia also needs to prevent Croatia from entering Serbian market and disable any Croatian influence within its borders.
"Why do you want Tadic to attend that party so much? How does it affect you in any way?"
I personaly wanted to see him go and run or winge, like VUK does when he seas a Kosovar.
This will effecy my daiily humor,
but you are right Tadic doesnt want to be humiliated, he wants to be "special second" ;)

"Peggy is also speaking with the emotions of her diaspora down in Australia."

Where do you see emotion is what I wrote?
It was a simple statement of fact.
Croatian president is welcome to make decisions on what is in his country's interest as well.

And no, he is not isolated from anyone. Ivo will have a meeting with Tadic at some point, just not at that time.
I entirely agree with Valeri.
Also, boycotting events of state would be seen by the outside world as simply childish, and not what one expects from a "civilised" country.
In 3 years time none of this will matter... If you cant get alone with your neighbours then your home will be uncomfortable... best they all grow up in a few years they all part of the EU flying the blue flag with yellow stars and not the red, blue and white colours that has seen too many deaths...
Peggy is also speaking with the emotions of her diaspora down in Australia.
The reality is that the Serbs have practically replaced the British tourists in BG, as the Brits are dealing with their economic troubles, since the visa was dropped.
Obviously who has and hasn't recognized Kosovo makes no difference to the average Serb, beginning to enjoy his new found freedom to travel in the EU...

What I don't get is do the Serbs actually expect a country like Croatia, which had to go to war for her independence from Belgrade, to side with Belgrade against other peoples seeking independence?
Wouldn't that be political suicide for any Croat politician?
That's like expecting BG to side with Serbia against the independence of the people whom she invaded and incorporated in the same war she stabbed BG in the back and took over Makedonia with her 90% Bulgarian population...
Are the Serbs that deluded about their own [...]

"Dumb move. Now the Servs will be isolated."
========================
Isolated from whom? Croatia? Highly doubt it.
Majority of the world has not recognised Kosovo so Serbs have practically the whole world to visit. Besides, this was obviously not important enough and Croatian president can alwasy choose not to go to Serbia if he feels that it is not in his country's interest.
I don't think anyone would protest about that.
