High risk of avalanches in all Bulgarian mountains, rescue service warns.
Mountain Rescue Service warns mountaineers and skiers that constantly fluctuating temperatures render upper parts of the mountain highly prone to avalanches. Intense snow, poor visibility and high winds are predominant.

The body of 28-year-old Victor Garbev from Sofia, who went missing on January 28 2009 after an avalanche fell in the mountains above Bansko winter resort in Pirin range, has been recovered, the Mountain Rescue Service told Bulgarian Focus news agency on January 29.
Works will be reviewed by a group of judges, and winners will receive certificates and prizes.
