Yanev's OLJ party will no longer support ruling Government

Leader of the Order, Law and Justice (OLJ) party, Yane Yanev, said his party would "end the support for the current Government and form, as of January 27 2010, a right-wing conservative opposition, the only alternative for the post-totalitarian regime."

Yanev said his part would "keep its promises" of a 6-month period of tolerance and support for the Government of Prime Minister Boiko Borissov's GERB party.

According to the OLJ, Borissov had lied to citizens and formed a "new tri-partite coalition with Ataka and the Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria (DSB), Bulgarian news agency BTA quoted Yanev as saying.

At a meeting of the party leadership in Bourgas, OLJ decided to not take part in any coalitions until the next elections for national Parliament, and to take part independently in upcoming local and presidential elections.
Also, the party would continue to counter the sharing of power by the Bulgarian Socialist Party and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms.
A full evaluation of the current Government would be made and presented at the party congress, scheduled for January 30 and 31 2010, Yanev said.
