UB40 was a famous British reggae band, formed in 1978 in Birmingham. The band has placed more than 50 singles in the UK Singles Chart, and also achieved considerable international success.

UB40 sold over 70 million records, some of their most noted hit singles include classics like "Red Red Wine", "Can't Help Falling in Love", "The Way You Do the Things You Do" and "I Got You Babe".

After spending 30 years with the band, Campbell decided to continue on his own. In February 2009, he performed in Australia, New Zealand and Uganda.

His second solo album, Running Free, debuted as number nine in the UK charts.

Campbell went on to perform a concert at London's Royal Albert Hall on April 3 2008, featuring many of the artists who had appeared on his Running Free album. For the remainder of 2008, Campbell toured internationally with the Dep Band, promoting his new work. Campbell released his third solo album, Flying High, in 2009.
