Struggling to find consistent form all season, Bulgarian defending football champions Levski Sofia will face league leaders Litex Lovech on November 25 2009 in a crunch home match. Following a terrible start to their campaign, Levski has been going through a revival of late, but the tough opposition from Litex could prove to hard to crack.

Litex are well aware of the precarious situation that currently reigns in the Levski camp and have turned on the screws in the psychological warfare department prior to kick off, claiming that they were coming to Sofia exclusively for the three points.

"The pressure is entirely on Levski's shoulders. You can see that they are nervous, they know that if they lose the match, it will get very hard for them," Litex head coach Angel Chervenkov was quoted as saying by website sportal.bg.

"On the flip side, we are well prepared for the match. We are coming to Sofia for the three points," he said.

Litex's Ivelin Popov, a graduate of the Levski academy, was declared match fit and will likely feature from the start. Chervenkov told Bulgarian media that he was facing the sort of selection problem that every coach would like to experience, with all his players match-fit and and the biggest decision being whom to leave out of squad for the match.

Meanwhile, the situation at Levski could not be more different, as the Blues have no less than five key players out, including goalkeeper Georgi Petkov, midfielders Dimitar Telkiiski, Georgi Surmov and Luchezar Baltanov, as well as forward Marian Ognyanov, ruled out.

Ttwo of Levski's most experienced players, Hristo Yovov and Elin Topouzakov, are severely lacking match fitness and are unlikely to be in the starting eleven, sportal.bg said.

In spite of the seemingly endless problems plaguing Levski, caretaker head coach Georgi Ivanov was confident that his side could extend its streak of consecutive victories to five. Levski beat Svoge 3-2, Lokomotiv Mezdra 3-1, Pirin 2-0 and Cherno More 3-0 to get back into contention for European spots after going through their worst streak in more than 40 years with seven matches without a win in all competitions.

The Blues are desperate to get their season back on track and a fifth consecutive victory would shorten the gap to table-topping Litex to six points.

Litex leads with 31 points from 12 outings. CSKA Sofia and Chernomorets Bourgas follow with 29 and 26 points, respectively, but each side has played a match more. Levski are in fifth with 22 points.

Kickoff is at 7.30pm at Levski's Gerena stadium. Tickets for home supporters are priced at seven leva for the main stand and two leva for the B terrace behind the goal. Away end tickets are priced at five leva.
