Bulgarian President Georgi Purvanov will go on a state visit to Greece on October 24-26 at the invitation of his Greek counterpart Kostas Papulias.

Purvanov will be accompanied by his wife Zorka Purvanova and representatives of Bulgaria's executive and legislative branches of government, as well as by Bulgarian business people.

Six days before Purvanov's visit to Greece, Vice-President Angel Marin will attend the funeral ceremony of Pavle, late Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, which will take place on October 19 2009 in Sveti Sava church in Belgrade.

Serbia began three days of official mourning on November 16 2009 for Pavle, whose death was announced by the church the day before.

Pavle, who was 95, became the head of the church in 1990 but since 2007 had not been carrying out his duties because of severe ill-health.

On November 20 2009 Marin will take part in the sixth Regional Economic Forum for South East Europe held in Sarajevo.
