Bulgarian cinema a hit at Bangkok festival

Among the five films shown at the 2009 World Film Festival in Bangkok was Yavor Gurdev's Dzift, avtora.com said.

Other Bulgarian films included in the programme were Djasta Prasa (Jasta Pig) by Andrey Slabakov and Cuba is Music by Ilian Dzhevelekov, along with Iliyan Metev's debut film Goleshovo and Zhivko Dimitrov's Tyaloto (The Body).

A European Union festival that is to take place from November 19 to 28 in Bangkok will show two more Bulgarian films; Svetoslav Ovcharov's A Farewell to Hemingway and the documentary Corridor #8 by Boris Despodov.
