Instead of focusing on the artworks, paintings and sculptures, produced by some of Sofia's most prominent artists, the Sofia Studios project turns attention on the artists and the environment in which they create their works; the studio.

In a series of photos, the exhibition intends to be a "visual and documentary record of the life of the artist, shot in a single time and place," a media statement from organisers said.

The exhibition was the brainchild of artist Lyudmil Lazarov and curator Nadezhda Djakova.

Opening on November 12, the exhibition will run until November 19 at the Alterego Art Centre at the Sredets House of Culture, Krakra str 2a.
