Greek-Bulgarian bilateral investments and exports have recorded a considerable decline in the first six months of the year, Bulgarian news agency BTA quoted Greek media as reporting on October 29 2009.

Bilateral trade for the period registered a 23.6 per cent decline compared to the same period a year ago, coming to 955.3 million euro

Greek exports to Bulgaria decreased by 30.5 per cent to 453 million euro in the first half of 2009, while the decline in Bulgarian exports to Greece was 23.6 per cent.

Despite the downtrend, Greece was still the third largest foreign investor country in Bulgaria after Austria and the Netherlands. Greek overall investments in Bulgaria came to two billion euro, BTA said.
