With regard to the tragic earthquakes that recently struck two provinces in Indonesia, West Sumatra (7.6 Richter scale) and Jambi (7 Richter scale), causing thousands of lives lost, injured, displaced and missing as well as physical damage affecting the livelihood of the people in those two provinces, the embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Sofia has opened a special USD account.

The account would be used solely to receive and transfer money donated to ease the suffering of the surviving victims as well as reconstruction and rehabilitation programme in the aftermath of the earthquakes, through the disaster command post established at the ministry of foreign affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
