Health Ministry confirms 25 new cases of H1N1 in Bulgaria

The Bulgarian Health Ministry has confirmed 25 new cases of people infected by the swine flu influenza last week alone, Dnevnik daily reported on October 14 2009.
This takes the latest tally to 119 people currently being treated but authorities from the pandemic department fear that the actual number of people in the country affected by the H1N1 strain is "substantially higher". In most cases, the effects are described as "mild", so authorities believe that sufferers eventually recovery without reporting it or seeking specialised medical treatment.
For the period October 5-11, a total of 3847 people in the country complained of feeling "the symptoms" of the strain but the vast majority of cases – 2814 – were eventually attributed to seasonal flu and/or respiratory complications.
The ministry reminds people to be on the alert, to wash hands constantly and boost their immune system by consuming a diet rich in fruit and vegetables. Should they experience symptoms associated with the strain – high fever, respiratory problems, coughing, sweating and vomiting – they should immediately consult the nearest medical establishment.

well gentleman I am writing from Canada, (I Lived for 4 years as expat in Bg from 2004 to 2008) and believe me schools are starting to close here as well....kids are dying...Go get the vaccin...better.
you're a nut and obviously not well informed. The vaccine is available without Mercury for one and for two, your lack of understanding about liability makes your suggestion sound simply silly. There is enough information out there for people to educate themselves, if they don't, their lack of intellectual curiosity is their problem and should not be transferred to the doctor. Doctor's have enough to worry about and if we start asking them to become experts in pharmacology the quality of medical care will go down. Yes, they should be well read and informed as that is there job, but [...]
Read the full comment if you are expecting doctors to research everything related to health you are simply asking for trouble, that's why their are research institutes and specialties. The flu vaccine for the swine flu was able to be produced so quickly because the way in which it is engineered has been used for more than 20 years! People are unlikely to die from the swine flu, but if a baby gets it for example their weak immune systems will be further weakened and they will be likely to catch something worse like pneumonia, which can kill them. It is a question of measuring the risks against the benefits. If you would like to risk your baby's life against the almost non-existent risk of the N1H1 vaccine without mercury, continue your scare tactics. This is not a conspiracy (the profitability of this vaccine for pharmaceutical companies is close to break even)it is a PANDEMIC!
