‘We will insist that international law and UN Security Council decisions be respected and any unilateral decisions running counter to the UN Charter and OSCE principles be avoided,’ foreign minister Sergei Lavrov says in Moscow.
Belgrade has sent a formal protest note to the UN secretariat about the presence of Kosovo leaders at UN headquarters, while Kosovo says the trip will yield new recognitions soon.
At the UN General Assembly, Serbian president Boris Tadic urges all countries that have not recognised Kosovo as independent to ‘stay the course’.
Briefly meeting US president Barack Obama, Fatmir Sejdiu thanks him for US support for Kosovo; Serbian president Boris Tadic is certain he will persuade UN member states against further recognitions of Kosovo.
About 30 countries have applied to be heard in public debate in the International Court of Justice case on the question of the legality of Kosovo’s unilateral declaration of independence, and Pristina claims the largest share are its allies.

Kosovo is an integrated par of Serbia, albanians have persecuted non albanians in Kosovo for over a century. KLA terrorists attacked all non albanians pillaging, killing, raping, kidnapping non albanian men, women and children. Ambushing yugoslavian policemen and soldiers with an agenda to drive non albanians not only from Kosovo, but Montenegro, Macedonia and Greece. In the last 10 years while under KLA terrorist regime more people have been killed, raped and kidnapped than the deade before. UN and EU reports clearly state that Kosovo is now more of a mafia state and a [...]

Kosovo has no right in the UN as it is a part of Serbia a GUARANTEED by the UN's resolution 1222. It will always be apart of Serbia and the idea that Kosovo will uite with albania will never be internationally accepted, but will only spark war.
KOSOVO IS SERBIA
Kosovari, you are so rightous aren't you? You sound so clever but you forgot that many Serbs went through horrors as well and worse.
How about a little sympathy for Serbian victims?
I know you have none. Are you saying that Serbs did not go through the same horrors or if they did they don't matter because somehow they all deserved it?
Put a sock in it. I am sick and tired of Albanians condemning the Serbs for everything including bad weather. Everyone went through the same horrible war and [...]
Read the full comment everyone is a victim as well. I don't have to go through the war to know that in war everyone suffers so just take your hatred and go away.
Serbs can say the same things as you just did. What do you say to that? How dare you minimize what the others went through but insist that only the Albanians should be treated as victims and felt sorry for.
I was answering to someone else and stated that you cannot dismiss someone's argument simply because they were not there. I gave an example, but if you interpret that as an attack on your brothers, then let it be.
Just remember, there were victims on all sides. I cannot expect you to take that into account now can I.
I really thinkg everyone here needs to get a life and give these descutions a break.

Epaminondas, I don't see what difference it makes if I have been to Serbia or not.
My information does not come from Serbia but from many different sources so being there or not is irrelevant.
I know many Albanians always state that if you haven't been to Kosovo you cannot possibly comment on it. I hope you are not trying to imply the same thing about whether I can comment on Serbia or not.
But to answer your question, yes a long time ago and only for about a month. [...]
Read the full comment I really don't see what has this got to do with anything we comment on here.
Well, Peggy, the short answer to your repeated query about ANZAC day is that you and another Australian correspondent were saying radically different things.
Only after much correspondence did it emerge that you and he were in fact talking about two different States of Australia (Victoria and Queensland) where ANZAC practice was different.
This was a satisfactory explanation, but it took a long time to emerge. (You must remember that those of us in the Northern Hemisphere do not have the intimate knowledge of Australia's State structure that you do.)

It would have been helpful if you had made it clear at the outset that you were talling about the State of Victoria and not about Australia as a whole.
I hope this makes things sufficiently clear now. Meanwhile, you have never answered my repeated question about whether you have actually been to Serbia yourself. If you expect others to answer your own questions immediately, you might at least return them the same favour !
Epaminondas, sure just because someone disagrees with me doesn't mean that the dislike me but you have gone out of your way to twist my words and look for any way possible to suggest that I have lied.

Peggy - contrary to what you seem to think, I did NOT say that you deserved rude responses because you occasionally post in a slightly heated way, in response to provocation.

In UK English, "isn't always that polite" doesn't mean "rude", it just means "occasionally heated".

Are you saying that [...]
Read the full comment I deserve those responses because I am not always polite?
Sir, if you read carefully, you will see that I have responded impolitely only after I have been attacked in some way but NEVER in a vulgar fashion, therefore I do not appreciate you saying that I deserve those sort of respones.
Actually I have been told to go and "pusi mi ...." after I have said that I hope the victim of the bashings who died later rests in peace and that we do not need such people around. Now there is nothing impolite about that.
Those vulgar statements have been deleted, but I think you might've seen them anyway, and yet you are now saying that somehow I deserve what I got.
I know you dislike me very much and I have never responded to you in an unacceptable way but abstain from using me as an example of my impoliteness when there are plenty of really good examples for you to choose from. Could the problem be that they are Albanians who give you plenty of these examples and since you are so pro Albanian you cannot bring yourself to show them up for what they are?

Peggy - sorry: just noticed.
You can't really complain about my mis-spelling "krava" as "korova", if you then post about << hitting a herve>>, as you do below.
Hitting a herve is quite an interesting concept, and goes back to Anglo-Saxon England, when a <<herve>> was a kind of serf, inferior to a <<carl>>, but superior to an <<serf>>. The Lord of the Manor (sometimes a Baron, sometimes a mere Earl) had the right to smite, or hit, any or all of them as he felt motivated to do at the time. [...]
Read the full comment
This was called subsequently << The Cradle of English Democracy >>, and led to Magna Carta in 1216, whereby the Barons/Earls could dismiss the King. Somehow the herves, serfs and carls rather missed out on all this, but that didn't matter as they didn't have any votes or arms, and didn't get them for the next 600 years.
Peggy - one tiny suggestion. If you're going to quote from someone else' posting inside your own, it can be helpful if you use quotation marks to "enclose" the quote, otherwise it can be rather hard to tell where the quote starts and ends and your text begins.
Some people prefer to use European-style quotation marks << >> rather than English-style ones " ", as this can be clearer on-screen (especially on this particular site !)

One thing is for sure. People without arguments and sense resort to such vulgarities. You can tell a lot about someone by the way they speak to others. I guess, with so many children to bring up their parents just don't have the time to teach them all right from wrong (providing they know themselves).

This is the last what I am goining to say: Kosovo is not independent. The do depend in a lot ways of different countries!
Is Kosovo a part of Serbia? Yes in some way, it is? But Belgrade has nothing to say in Pristina. So I can not conclude that Kosovo is still a part of Serbia.

Can we live as neightbours whith a lot of respect towards eachother? I do not ask forgivennis, but I do ask some more respect!!!
Come on Albanian people! Do awake! Kosovo is in your eyes independent? OK, let it be. But in what way you are joining the different worldgroups? With some groups you are recognised (Moniteryfound and NATO), but in the others you are still a part of Serbia. Even Wikipedia did not recognise you fully.

Did you ever read about George Voinovich? He is one of the major senators of Obama...he is a Serb (Djordje Vojinovic). Read some things about him on the internet and you will understand by letter.
So...you wanted to be independent? Sorry but we, Serbs, do not agree with that. I agree with antonio... albanians are the only people in the world in de facto posession of two separate states. i thought the age of imperialism and colonialism was long gone. this just reflects the US policy of bull****... some time ago they were best buddies with sadam husein when they goaded him to attack iran, couple of years ago they publicly hanged him..middle ages style... lol no end to bull
If I understood well, Kosovars are actually Albanians. How come they got Kosovo for themselves if they have they own country? Are we witnessing the very creation of another "Greater ______ (fill the blank) Balkan nationalistic state"? They should never get the place in UN.
Balkanac is the true face of Srbija. Or maybe he had lots of Sljivovica.
And why do I call your Albanian people shit. It's because of the fact that your ministers are former criminals. Once a criminal, always a criminal? You may answer.

Epaminondas, who claims to be fair and open minded has not commented once about the vulgar insults that were directed at me. I don't need him to defend me but all I am trying to say here is the hypocracy of Albanians and their supporters. Abuse can be so easily tolerated by these Albanian supporters when it is directed at Serbs or Serb supporters and yet they claim that we are the uncivilised ones.
So much hate from Serbian side. Not suprising, taking into consideration the number of people killed by Serbs in Balkans 1990-99. Yet some have guts to speak about comments of others i.e. slovens, croats, bosnians and albanians.
Serbs have to understand that Albanians have become equal partner and are no longer under their boot. Once this is done than we can talk about other things. Meanwhile, Serbia can stop crying since it is becomin nuisance to International Community.
Pathetic, I see these Albanian hate mongers on all the blogs with the same rubbish. At the end what kind of nation survives that has hate as the core of it's existence. If you would visit the place you would understand that Kosovo is motherland of Serbia. I just don’t understand having double standards in the international politics – what about Palestine or Ossetia? Why one is legal other is illegal.
This discussion seems to be going round in circles. Can anybody try to summate ?
Vuk Jeremic has nothing to do with Kosova anymore. and is not his business anymore where the fuk Albanians go. all he needs to know is , not to enter in ALbanian territory without licking at least 10 ALbanian dicks first. @Peggy & Darin Rack--- Serbia didnt get bombed for trying to make a "greater serbia" they got bombed for killing thousands of innocent men women and children. that was a very outrageous comment from both of you. keep in mind that many leaders of former yugoslavia are in prison, and only three or four albanians. i am certaintly not denying that us albanians may have took revenge a very few serbs but the hague courts show who the real scum, and murders of the balkans are.
@France (who is likely not french)
What does Albania's support of the republic of Kosovo have to do with a 'greater albania'?
What serbia did with IT'S very real greater serbia scheme was attempt to Dominate what was Yugoslavia... primarily Their FELLOW slavs.
your feeble attempt to try and draw some kind of parallel is idiotic.

poor serbs?
let's see, croatia, bosnia,Kosovo, slovenia, macedonia, montenegro ALL of whom sought to escape serbia... albanians and fellow slavs alike.
oh how delightful it would have been had serbs built a wall around themselves instead of exporting there delusions of grandeur on all of their neighbors.
that the best friends serbia can find are those that live nowhere near them, Serbia, my sad little apologist is what you can call scum.
nice ..maybe serbia can share UN passes with oliver ivanovic from (soon to be partioned)north kosovo..or dodik from RS Bosnia and russia can allow leaders from ossetia access to the UN or armania give access to the kurds..sure lets turn clear lines into dotted ones .. UN answered what happened but not it will do to stop this from turning into a complete circus...its all relative.. as is beauty in the eye of the beholder so is what's considered independent..and all those above mentioned places feel as independent as kosovars !!!

I feel sorry for you Peggy. You have no sense of reality and no imagination. And if you read the article, it does not say anywhere that Kosovars were gate crashers or any other nonsense like you claim. Ban-Ki-Moon clearly states that UN members could invite guests and those guests could be anyone. So why even protest the presence of Kosovo leaders if they didn't break any rules by being at the UN? Serbia is a cry wolf, I wish a day that Serbia would pack up and leave the balkans. Then we would have long lasting peace.
UN is not a theatre or a concert hall where one can invite friends, but is supposed to be of the highest international stance. It is obvious that Albania (by inviting fellow Albanians from Kosovo) did not respect the rule. At the same time, it is a serious warning to the international community that Albania is on the way to making a Greater Albania. To remind, Serbia was bombed by the NATO countries because of a so-called 'Greater Serbia'.
