Earth tremor strikes Durres region in Albania, felt in Montenegro

An earth tremor with a magnitude 4.2 on the Richter scale was recorded near the Albanian town of Durres, Bulgarian news agency BTA said, quoting Albanian media.

The epicentre of the tremor was 16km south of Durres, about 12km underground. The earthquake was felt in Montenegro in the towns of Bar and Ultsin, according to Montenegrin national radio.

There were no significant aftershocks reported following the initial tremor. Neither the Albanian nor Montenegrin media have reported any structural damage or injured people.
