Tremor hits Sarajevo, September 9

The capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo, was shaken by an earth tremor, measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale, at 9.20pm, Bosnian time, Bosnian Radio 202 has reported.

The tremor was confirmed by the US Geological Survey, which tracks earth tremors worldwide. In a statement the epicentre was said to be 8km of Nevestine in the region of the Sneznica mountain.

This was a considerably milder earthquake than the one that shook Macedonia and Albania on Monday, registering 6.0 on the Richter scale.

As of now, there are no reported damages of injuries from the tremor in Sarajevo.
