The group of 38 survivors of the boat tragedy in the Lake of Ohrid in which15 Bulgarians died on September 5 2009 came home in the late hours of the day.

Survivors were brought back to Sofia on a Government aircraft sent to Macedonia by Prime Minister Boiko Borissov. They were all treated by the Military hospital in Sofia and 30 of them were allowed to go home.

Most of the tourists are from towns and villages around Sofia, among them Pirdop, Zlatitsa, Chelopech, Anton and Ribaritsa.

The bodies of the 15 Bulgarians who drowned after the Ilinden boat sunk in the lake were at Skopje. A Bulgarian Government aircraft was put on standby in Sofia ready to take their relatives to Skopje for identification, the Government’s press office said.
