While thousands will await with baited breath Madonna's appearance on stage in Sofia, hundreds of kilometres away, in Sozopol on the Black Sea, devotees of another kind of music will be enjoying themselves no less as the 25th edition of the Apollonia Festival of Arts is officially opened by a performance of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra.

The anniversary edition of the arts festival will start three days earlier than the traditional date, but like in previous years, Apollonia will offer visitors the usual busy schedule of chamber, jazz and retro-pop music, book launches and exhibitions, film and theatre premieres – spread all over Sozopol in five locations.

The full schedule of the Apollonia arts festival is available at apollonia.bg. Tickets are sold online at eventim.bg and on-site in Sozopol.
