Faith No More will open the 2009 Spirit of Bourgas music summer festival on the Black Sea with a performance on August 14 starting at 11.10pm on the festival's main stage.

The band is the highlight of the three-day festival this year, the second in a row. Given Faith No More's recent reunion, fans from all over the Balkans are expected to flock to Bourgas. The band has accumulated a substantial fan base in Bulgaria too.

The festival's headline list also includes also Fun Lovin’ Criminals, the British electro break-beat Will White (Propellerheads DJ Set) as well as a number of local and foreign DJ's rock and jazz and Latin music bands.

A single day's ticket for the Spirit of Bourgas costs 40 leva, but on the day of the event, tickets will be on sale outside the gate for 50 leva. A package of three-day tickets is priced at 100 leva, once again, they will be available for 120 leva on the first day of the festival, so fans are urged to make their arrangements sooner rather than later.

Because of the interest in the event the Bulgarian state railways have launched several extra trains from Sofia to Bourgas.
