Bulgaria's first national private television bTV announced the launch of two theme channels by the end of the year, a company media statement said on August 13.

bTV Comedy, which will succeed the cable GTV, and bTV Cinema will complement and enhance the programme proposals of the broadcaster.

Both channels will be broadcast via cable.

The comedy channel will air foreign productions as well as all comedy shows that have been shown so far on bTV.

The film channel, on the other hand, will bring recent and popular film titles.

bTV's closest rival, Nova Television, is also considering new additions.

Both private television stations are in a cut-throat hunt for foreign producers.

bTV is owned by Balkan News Corporation of media tycoon Rupert Murdock.

rigth on, brothers! make 2 more channels so that you can throw us even deeper in boredom. I guess the movies channel goes with the unspoken promise to show old and crappy movies and repeat them every second week.
