Minister sacks head of transport inspectorate

Transport Minister Alexander Tsvetkov ordered the head of directorate Transport Inspectorate, Todor Stanishev, to be released from his duties, Bulgarian news agency BTA said.

The order was given on August 5 2009.

Systematic failure to deal with problems in transport was given as the reason for sacking Stanishev, BTA said.

No replacement has been appointed yet.
