Bulgarian Super Cup Final: Levski Sofia v Litex Lovech, August 1

The Bulgarian Super Cup final will pit Levski Sofia vs Litex Lovech on August 1 2009 at the Vassil Levski National Stadium. Kick off is set for 8.25pm. Bulgarian Champions Levski Sofia,  will take on Litex who won the Cup of Bulgaria last season, beating Pirin Blagoevgrad on the final.

Tickets will go on sale from July 31 at Gerena stadium, Todorini Kukli Str, and are priced at five leva for the main stand (sector A) and three leva for all other sections of the ground.

Stefan Spasov was selected as referee, with Nikola Djuganski and Nikolai Angelov as linesmen, and Angel Angelov as the fourth match official.  They have agreed to co-ordinate the proceedings free of charge.

"I would like to thank the match officials for this kind gesture. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the police who have lowered their requests for this particular encounter," said the president of the Bulgarian football league, Valentin Mihov.

The winner will be rewarded with 50 000 leva, while the finalist will get a 30 000 leva bonus.

Levski Sofia will play on the back of a heartless performance in Baku which nearly cost them a humiliating defeat, whereas Tom and Momchil Tsvetanov from Litex are hoping to reach fill fitness and be available to Stanimir Stoilov for the final.
