There will definitely be staff changes at the National Road Infrastructure Agency (NRIA), Bulgaria's newly-elected Regional Development Minister Rosen Plevneliev said after taking office on July 27 2009, adding that the NRIA will be managed by his ministry.

Motorway construction will be implemented by the European experience of project management when five ministries are held responsible for a single motorway responsibility is blurred.

"Now that I have a team, they will be committed to it day and night and everything will be known," Plevneliev said.

He reiterated his pledges to complete three motorways during the term of the new Boiko Borissov Government -- Trakiya, Lyulin and Maritsa -- and lay the groundwork for two more -- Strouma and Hemus.

His two deputies will be announced within about 10 days. His political cabinet will be headed by Ekaterina Zaharieva, the former director of the legal department of the Ministry of Environment and Water of the previous government.

Honest and transparent tenders, predictability, rules that will be obeyed by all and rule of law will be the main principles that will guide Plevneliev in his new office.

I give no advice but I am open to discussions and information about all business matters, his predecessor, Asen Gagauzov, told the transfer of power ceremony.
