Dimitar Berbatov headed for Atletico Madrid?

Dimitar Berbatov in action for Bulgaria against Ireland

Speculation surrounding new Manchester United signings are rife. This time around, Spanish media has included the name of Bulgarian international Dimitar Berbatov.

According to Spanish media, quoted by Dnevnik daily, Alex Ferguson is still chasing the services of Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid, but the Spanish club have slapped a 60 million euro price tag on the player.

One possible solution is for the Red Devils to offer Nani in exchange as well as 40 million euro, as Manchester United would be 'reluctant' to pay 60 million euro. The second alternative is for them to swap Dimitar Berbatov and fork out 20 million euro in cash.

The news emanating from Spain has 'wreaked havoc" in Manchester United fan forums. According to Dnevnik daily, the majority of United fans would prefer that Berbatov stays, rather than have Aguero over at Old Trafford.

I can confirm that there is no truth in these rumours. Dimitar is an important part of our squad and will be here for years to come.
We have made an enquiry for the boy Costa in Brazil.

Berbatov could be valuable but aguerro is amazing (watch his YouTube vidoes). Plus we would have plenty of money left to buy a replacement for berba.

That would be a mistake selling Berbatov. He is meant to play in that team, just wait till the season starts. He`s got what it takes.

I would rather sell none of the players and get Aguero. We need a big squad to be successful again. So we should splash out 60 million euro and get Aguero, then sell.
